Saudi Arabia, Japan signs digital partnership.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Saudi Arabia and Japan's Digital Agency have signed a memorandum of understanding, formalizing their digital partnership.

During Minister Abdullah Al-Swaha's visit to Japan, an agreement was reached to enhance the digital economy, promote government digital initiatives, and facilitate the adoption of modern technologies.

The agreement outlines strategies to collaborate in promoting and supporting government digital services, such as digital platforms, e-signatures, and documentation. The two countries will work together to enhance their capacity and exchange knowledge in these domains.

The partnership also involves joint research and innovation initiatives.

Research teams will be established to develop digital government services, and best practices and policies will also be exchanged for the purpose of enabling businesses to use emerging technologies to enhance customer experience.
